FAFS has recently completed the removal and replacement of a 5 panel Cerberus system, linked together by a further panel within Central London. It has been replaced with Morley ZX5e control panels and Hochiki ASX field devices.
The change of equipment was complicated by having to gain access to around 100 separate apartments each with approximately 7 sensors. Over 1,000 analogue devices were fitted in total.
New control panels were fitted into existing enclosures by having metalwork frames fabricated to suit the new layouts.
6 new control panels are ‘networked’ together, providing the user a master control panel within the engineering workshop from which he can operate and control the system.
Off-site monitoring
A dial up modem provides off-site analysis of the system. This facility provides the client with the benefit of not necessarily requiring a call out engineer to attend site which can prove costly.
Professional approach
Our client has commended the approach and manner in which the project was handled and the professionalism of the operatives who attended site to effect the changeover.
FAFS won this order despite stiff competition from two major systems companies.
